The Hancock County Center for Safe and Healthy Children, along with participating agencies, will coordinate the investigation, prosecution, treatment, and prevention education components of child abuse and neglect into a unified system.

This system is designed to provide an effective multi-disciplinary approach to dealing with child abuse and neglect victims and their non-offending family members so that the trauma they experience is minimized.

The Hancock County Center for Safe and Healthy Children will also provide for the coordination of health, dental, orthodontic and any other services for children who have been alleged to be neglected, abused or dependant and who may or may not be in foster care.
